Bathrooms

Bathrooms in basements are very popular these days. Whether it is a powder room or a full bathroom, they add great value to your house.

There is a number of existing bathroom design trends: going back to classics is very popular lately as is creating a countryside-style bathroom or a glass-and-chrome sleek bathroom. There’s a modern trend of turning bathrooms into private spas complete with relaxing massaging water jets installed in tubs. We are a full service firm, which means we work with you on design, material selection and installation.

  Plumbing

A lot of people think ahead and have the builders install rough plumbing for a future bathroom. When done right, it will cut down the cost of your remodeling project. But in most cases, you’re faced with limited options: The design has to be made around the bathroom.

The position of shower/tub and toilet can’t be changed. In most cases your bathroom will be pretty small.  A lot of our customers decide to pay extra and move rough plumbing to a more convenient place.
Bathroom fixtures

At ETI Remodeling, we give you an allowance for all the bathroom fixtures. We present to you our standard fixtures that you can upgrade to your liking from simple tubs to sunk in spas to steam showers or completely custom made shower corners. You can also shop for your own. Just give us the serial number and we’ll get it for you.

Flooring and walls

Ceramic, stone or marble tiles are the best and most popular choices for floors and fixture surrounds used in bathrooms. They are durable, easy to wash and great looking. We recommend installation of floor heaters since tiles are very cold especially when installed on concrete. Heated floor systems are expensive ($10/sf installed) but bathrooms are small so you’re not going to spend a fortune. And it’s easy to control with a thermostat.

Heating and ventilation

Making sure your bathroom is well heated and ventilated to the outside is very important especially in the long run.  Exhaust fan is installed to suck all the humidity from your bathroom preventing mildew build up, keeping it dry, clean and healthy.
