Basement gallery by project |
Basement is a great place to create game room. You can transform it and customize it accordingly to a number of hobbies you and your family has such as music, billiards, table tennis or foosball and poker. As you are aware you can’t seem to accommodate them upstairs, due to lack of space, consideration for others or simply no practical spot for it. Fortunately, most basements will fit an entire drum set, a ping pong table and a big screen TV. Make your basement the room where you escape and have no thoughts, and enjoy your time. |

Construction and finish of the floors, ceilings, and furniture are important to the safety of children. Furniture and storage areas must also be designed and built with ease of access in mind.
When thinking in terms of lighting, you must consider whether there will be sufficient natural light, in the basement. For example, whether you will need to rely on artificial lighting and if so, what type it should be.

One thing to remember is that a game room must evolve with the family's needs. Today's kids are tomorrow's teens. They will want to replace toys with friends with who to watch television, play games, and listen to music. These teens will turn into young adults who may wish to challenge parents to a game of pool. Whatever the age of the kids, there will always be in a need for some form of play!
